Projects
Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:

Project NameDescriptionContact
Scholarship Project Holly Springs Kiwanis partners with Learn with the Best, a professional educational facility in Cary, and offers a tutoring scholarship to a young child of an underprivileged family in their community. This student receives tutoring twice a week, free of charge, with the expectation that they will progress more rapidly with their academics and school confidence to meet or exceed grade level expectations. By working with a young child (first or second grade) the hope is that work habits can still be molded and fine tuned to help the child get on a positive path toward school and academic success. The Dictionary Project At the beginning of each fall school year, the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs joins its Kiwanis Division in raising and investing funds, and distributing over 600 dictionaries to 3rd Graders of all Holly Springs Elementary Schools. The dictionary, a special-issue for youngsters, is a 500 plus-page paperback book featuring commonly-used words, in addition to maps of the seven continents, information about the 50 states, biographies of U.S. Presidents, text of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, and a table of weights and measures.
