Susan Morison creates a positive learning environment with her first grade students by creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation. Her enthusiasm for learning, optimistic attitude, love of her students makes every moment in her classroom where academics and life skills are taught in a fun and exciting way!!

Popular with students because of her enthusiasm and “coolness”, Debbie Baize makes it fun and easy to learn for our local middle school students. She maintains strong and positive lines of communication with her students where they can share anything they want with her!!




Miriam Gifford has taught just about every elementary grade and written and received three grants for her grade level. Her church activities, biking, cooking, needlework and classical music fill her hours when she is not teaching. Miriam models outstanding character traits to her students and the Holly Grove Elementary staff every day!! 




Watching Jennifer Hall interact with her English classroom students is like poetry personified. She pushes her students academically to new heights with high expectations, innovative approaches and her own tried and true methods. She has inspired the high school newspaper to great achievements: it is now one of the top state high school newspapers and has won the coveted Tar Heel Award.
